Mishmash of the strange, the awkward, and the emotional.

So, it's been a pretty fun past few days, especially in light of the lack of activity of the first part of my break.

**Public Disclaimer : This blog entry is long and probably boring for you people who aren't me. Therefore, don't strain yourselves.**

On Wednesday I got ready and drove down to Burlington with Sammy to visit one of my favorite girls in this world, Sarah aka Sandy. We spent the night bowling, watching Joe Dirt and the office, and just talking and having fun. We left her house around noon on Thursday and traveled back to Cedar Rapids where we decided to stop and share a little Caesars pizza.

Now, if you anything about Little Caesars Pizza, you'll know its fast food pizza. You walk in and they have the pizza's made fresh and ready to go. Pretty sweet. And they're only $5 for a large pizza, so it's a sweet deal. anyyyway, we were sitting in my car eating this pizza and it was about half gone. Sandy and I both had eaten one piece and Sammy had eaten two or three. All the sudden, he gets up and says a very mumbly sentence and walks away with the pizza. Sarah and I stare at each other in extreme confusion. Sammy comes back 30 seconds later, without the pizza. He gets in the car and acts like everything is normal. Finally we ask what the heck just happened. He says in his complete matter-of-fact voice, "Oh, I saw two black ladies walking in to get a pizza, so I thought that I would give them the rest of ours." Apparently that made complete sense to him. However, it made no sense to us. And we thought we would have been creeped out if he had tried to give us a half eaten pizza...

So. At that point, we drove back to my house, were everyone was leaving, and we kinda just sat on my bed, both in a very non-social mood. We turned the lights out and talked about stupid boys and relationships, then decided to cheer ourselves up and sit in the hot tub. So we did. We then took a buddy shower (where I almost/did fall out of the shower) and then watched new moon till Rach arrived.

Jake showed up not too far behind her, and we made tenderloins. After eating we went downstairs and Jake gave us all back massages, cuz he rocks, while we waited for Sammy and Evan to come.

Needless to say, I was quite nervous for this. If you're completely out of the loop, Evan is my ex-boyfriend. We're not bitter or angry or anything, but I haven't seen him since October, and we broke up in November. So, I wasn't quite sure how to act...anyway, they showed up, and things were fine. Not awkward, just kinda different. We watched * Despicable Me* :) and ate brownies, but decided on a midnight McDonalds run anyway. When we arrived back, the hot tub was calling our names, and we sat out there for a good hour. By that time, it was past 1:30 and after a last bit of talking, the boys left, and us girls again plopped on my bed and talked.

The next morning Sarah and I got up earlyish and got ready. We drove into Cedar Rapids to have coffee/lunch with Jake/Evan. Evan and I went and got coffee, cuz that's what we do, and we just talked. It was completely normal, and we caught up on life. We walked around barnes and noble and finally the awkward conversation came up as we were driving to meet up with the others. We kinda talked about why we broke up, it still makes not too much sense, but more than it did before I suppose. Needless to say, once I was in my own car, I was overly emotional and crying. Gotta love girls.

Drove home, made puppy chow and headed back out on the road to CAMP!

We got to camp and just hung out all night. We played cribbage, talked, played the wii, played real live mafia(!!!), and did what college kids do, stay up late. It was a confusing but fun night after I got over my anti-social attitude.

This is one of my favorite little girls. She lives at camp.
Ruby May. Love her.

So, this morning, I woke up freezing my butt off on a couch with Sarah. We played one last game of cribbage and went to the mall for lunch. Chic-fil-A is the first time I have really eaten in the past few days, so that was nice.

The guys dropped me off at my car, and I went home and crashed on the couch in front of the heater, with football on the TV. I woke up four hours later and layed there for a few minutes talking with my parents.

Ha, this is where it gets funny slash strange for me at least. Somehow, and I don't remember this at all, I got up off the couch and started walking to the kitchen, but passed out in the process. I hit the wood floor pretty hard and woke up, face down, to my parents saying my name. I was really confused. And haven't done much since then. I'm sure I'll get some nice bruises from that...but oh well!!

I am so ready to go back to school, it's not even funny. I love my parents, but the boredom is starting to set in. More than is healthy.
