Today was amazing to say the least.
It began with more orientation meetings and talking about jobs (which I still don't have)
Then lunch with some more orientation until 3:30
We had free time until dinner, and I spent that time writing thank-you's and talking to Brandon. :)
The fun began at dinner when my team and I bonded over silly faces and prank scheming.
We continued laughing all the way to the beach where we set up towels and began sharing our testimonies.
The pier.
So pretty.
We had gotten through 3/4 of the first girl when the clouds broke and it began to pour.
We laughed and finished hers then moved our things under the pier so they might be semi-dry.
We put testimonies on hold and ran into the ocean, which was surprisingly warm and waded out in our clothes.
We stayed in the ocean for maybe five minutes then decided to head back to UNF to dry off and continue pouring our hearts out to each other.
We came back and showered off, started some laundry, and heard another testimony full of tears :)
We then had to go to our mixer game (the clock game) and meet the many people whom we still don't know. It was actually really fun, and I met some cool people while sharing awkward information that we were suposed to ask each other.
Now we are rounding up the troops to get back to our testimonies.
God is so good. I love my team, and we are really beginning to click and get a personality. As hard as it is to be vulnerable with each other (especially since we met yesterday), we are all doing our best, but it is definitely challenging us all. We're all in this to grow in our walk with Jesus and the only way to do that is to let others speak truth into our lives, and I think we're all prepared to accept the truth.
Please be praying for my team as we continue to grow together and grow in our walk with Jesus.
Pray that God will show his faithfulness in providing me with a job. We will be going out into Jacksonville tomorrow to look for jobs.
We serve a great God, my friends. He is here, and he is working.
Thank you so much for supporting me in my summer ministry with your prayers and financial support.
You all rock. :)
