The First Week

Well, my first week of student teaching is over. Today was day 5. And, much to my surprise, I am not loathing it. Until today I have been in the 5/6th grade room (they're combined) with a total of 8 kids. I am now officially in the 3/4th grade room until March 1. It should be pretty fun. The kids are nice, very talkative, and are excited to have me. I already have one boy who likes me. The class prayed and tanked God that I was able to be in their classroom (before they knew that I was going to be moving), and I have received a card.

I have been doing a few things here and there like helping with questions, homework, multiplication facts, and reading. It works out kind of well because I can help whichever grade is not being taught while Mrs. Mills teaches the other grade.

We will see how things go. The rest of this week should be pretty easy. I will probably be mostly observing tomorrow, and then Friday is a half day because it's the end of the quarter.

WIthout students at Dordt, I am trying to get a head start on my required assignments for student teaching, but I'm also learning to go to bed on time. Never thought that would happen.

Along with student teaching, I am attempting to plan my wedding. :) April 26 is not too far away! I am SO thankful that my mom is helping me from back home. :) We have most of the major things figured out I think, but still a lot of smaller things need to be done.

Thats about it for now! :)
